They’re a bit… tall… this year:

When daylilies attack...

I have no idea why they get this tall – they just do.  Super sandy, crappy soil.  No fertilizer.  They just do what they want.  And this year, they’re officially taller than me, per the blurry red-sweatered blob in the background (I’m 5’4″/164 cm).

    Hey, those look like my daylilies!! I’m not sure if mine get that tall but we have so many of them around the deck that now that we’ve ripped the deck out to rebuild, a lot of the daylilies will be going with it.

    I was reading your recent posts and I just wanted to comment that I totally agree about needing “me time” and being frustrated by the sound of guns shooting and explosions from a video game. Sometimes I can stitch while DH plays but lately the game has been wearing on my last nerve!
