WIPocalypse Check-in Post #8

Hello again everyone!

It seems like I just did the last post.  How the heck is it the last day of July already?

Olympics are in full swing.  I’m envious of those of you outside the USA.  Our coverage has been so disappointing in the USA, and since I work during the day, the “live feeds” we have to work with to actually see competitions are useless (especially since they can’t be accessed after the event).  I’ve still managed to get a good amount of stitching done, although with a lot more mute-buttoning to the TV.

Happy stitching everyone!

Important SAL announcements

Auto-Linky Help – A few people last month were worried that their links were not showing up on the feed.  Please make sure you refresh the screen.  Links don’t show up unless you do so.

Cut off Date for this Full Moon – is August 30th.  Please link your post anytime between now and then for it to count toward the drawing.

Reminder for August – We have two full moons in August!  Be sure to note your calendar for both August 1st and August 31st!

Please remember that this stitch-a-long is intended to be fun – so if you’re too busy to post, too busy/ill/etc. to stitch – no worries.  Post when you can and share what you have going, even if you’ve only been able to toss a single stitch into it.  It’s not a race or a competition – we’re all just here to cheer each other on with our progress.  🙂

I know some stitchers were having some difficulty with my blog commenting system when signing up, so I want to try to make this a bit easier/more accessible for everyone.  You can check in in one of three ways:

  • Via Auto-link
  • Via comments (make sure you include your blog address!)
  • Via email – to measiwitch(at)gmail.com, only if the comments are not working.  Again- make sure you include your blog address!
Happy stitching everyone!

Yeah, I have been staying up late just to catch swimming or gymnastics. It has been rather sucky coverage this time. I fear it’s only gonna get worse in 2016, especially as social networks continue to grow. July has gone by fast and I noticed that we have another “check-in” in 2 days! YIKES!!

I’ve been pretty unhappy with the coverage too.  Already suffered from several spoilers, and even though I’m trying to dvr some stuff, it’s impossible to store very many sets of 9-11 hours of coverage in one bulk, so I’m missing a ton of stuff that I just have to fast forward through.  Sigh.

Hi, stitcheranon here (Gaynor)…sorry no update this month.  I had surgery again and pre-surgery and for a little while after, I have the concentration span of a coconut, so stitching has just been out.  This should be my very last surgery so hopefully now the needles can fly!

I’m linked up!!! Looking forward to viewing some, if not all, of your updates! I just “redecorated” my blog giving it a more fall-ish feel. Yeah, I am jumping the gun a bit, but I don’t want to mess with it until winter, lol.
