Hi everyone!

Labor Day is fast approaching here, and with it comes my favorite season of the year. I’m not particularly fond of the summer heat and humidity, but those crisp autumn mornings… I could live with those happily ALL YEAR LONG. We’re even starting to get just a touch of autumn here in New England. A few trees have decided they’re ready for a nap, and I’ve been seeing a few glimpses of bright oranges and reds at the very tips of a few trees.

In about a half-hour, I’ll be heading south for the holiday weekend to visit family. My father has flown to Pennsylvania from my hometown in Montana to visit my grandmother, and my mom moved back to Pennsylvania several years ago – so I’ll be doing the huge both-sides-of-the-family-in-one-weekend whirlwind trip. So if you have any questions for me, I likely won’t be able to reply until I’m back home late Sunday/daytime Monday. There’s big news afoot that I’ll be posting on Monday. :) Really big news!

I hope everyone had a good August for crafting! I was so busy I forgot to post my WIPocalypse update for the beginning of August – so my blog will be busy at the end of the weekend!

Happy stitching everyone!

Important SAL announcements

Auto-Linky Help - A few people last month were worried that their links were not showing up on the feed.  Please make sure you refresh the screen.  Links don’t show up unless you do so. I’ve also noticed that I have a harder time using the links if I’m using Internet Explorer, rather than other browsers. Please let me know – if you’re someone who has trouble – if you are using IE.

Cut off Date for this Full Moon - is September 27th.  Please link your post anytime between now and then for it to count toward the drawing.

***************************

Please remember that this stitch-a-long is intended to be fun – so if you’re too busy to post, too busy/ill/etc. to stitch - no worries.  Post when you can and share what you have going, even if you’ve only been able to toss a single stitch into it.  It’s not a race or a competition – we’re all just here to cheer each other on with our progress.  :)

I know some stitchers were having some difficulty with my blog commenting system when signing up, so I want to try to make this a bit easier/more accessible for everyone.  You can check in in one of three ways:

  • Via Auto-link
  • Via comments (make sure you include your blog address!)
  • Via email – to measiwitch(at)gmail.com, only if the comments are not working.  Again- make sure you include your blog address!
Happy stitching everyone!

I’m happy to read that there are more people that are not so fond of the summer, like you i love the Autumn weather and look forward to see the beautiful colors of all the leaves.
I hope you ‘ll have a great weekend!

    Hugs Yvon.

I am afraid I didn’t stitch much this last month, but I did sew a patchwork quilt for my GD and several other sewing projects but I am back to stitching this coming month and expect to finish one of my wips!
