June 2013 WIPocalypse Check-In

Hi again everyone!

Another month has passed – this year is flying! Happy Summer if you’re in the Northern Hemisphere, and Happy Winter if you’re in the Southern. Hopefully you’ve found some time to stitch in the past month.

My maternity leave is now done and I’ve been back to work for about three weeks. It’s going great so far – Max is doing well with daycare and I’m finding that going to work is honestly helping my overall well-being. I’m enjoying the time I have with Max more now. I’m also enjoying my long train commutes because I’m getting my own stitching time in (3 hours per day!). Can’t ask for better than that with a three month old! I’ll be getting my blog post done in the morning, once my cell phone’s charged for photos.

Keep stitching… looking forward to seeing your updates!

Important SAL Announcements…

Next month’s posting date: July 22nd

Themes for the upcoming month: If you’re looking for a way to decide what to work on, and want to play along with a theme idea, maybe try one (or more!) of the following:

Designer – Glendon Place

Project Theme/Style – Animals

Focus Colors – Red and Yellow

***************************

Please remember that this stitch-a-long is intended to be fun – so if you’re too busy to post, too busy/ill/etc. to stitch – no worries. Post when you can and share what you have going, even if you’ve only been able to toss a single stitch into it. If you miss a few months, not a problem – just jump back in when you’re back with us! It’s not a race or a competition – we’re all just here to cheer each other on with our progress.

Due to different browsing software, some bloggers have found it difficult to check-in with their posts. There are three different ways to check in:
•Via Auto-link
•Via comments (make sure you include your blog address!)
•Via email – to measiwitch(at)gmail.com, only if the other two options are not working. Again- make sure you include your blog address! I’ll add it to the auto-link myself as I have a free moment.

It is (far better than I thought I’d have!) I think now that I know it’s really my only available stitching time during the week, I’m a bit more focused and productive with it, too. :)

I am glad that you’re not only doing better but also getting some stitching time in. *grins* I can’t wait to see your pictures!

Finally got to update, computer has been extremely slow recently so not the 1st to link up. Running the diagnostic today I have a feeling it broke again. Good to have such a long commute and be able to stitch. I use lunch times to get a bit of extra stitching in.
