Apparently October is when Measi got her stitching groove back. I’ve been pushing right along on several pieces since mid-September and feeling quite happy about how everything’s going with my WIPocalypse stitching (such a good change from last month!)
I mentioned this earlier in the month… Witches Wheel was fixed, then more mistakes were made, then fixed, but then I found I made another mistake. I then did what every normal stitcher would do and used my Q-snap as a frisbee and tossed my piece across the couch in frustration. It’s since been removed from the Qsnap, but not a whole lot else has happened other than me grumbling.
I’m very happy with my progress this month here – the roofline, both light trees, windows, some of the foundation rocks, the water, and the grass. I thought about finishing the fill-in of the water and finishing the title at top before moving on, but then decided I should stick to my original 10 hour plan, since my rotation was going so well. I’ll get back to this once I finish some holiday obligation stitching. It may be possible to get this finished this year.
This is progressing slowly but surely. I’m starting to accept that there’s no way I’m going to get the final square (not this one… the next one) done before the end of the year at this point, so I’m readjusting my goal. I want to get THIS square done. That’ll be 5 out of 6 complete, which (hopefully) should make for a comfortable finish on this piece for the first quarter in 2014.
I finally got my August (?) goal completed and finished the swans and the border of the large central rectangle. Just tonight, in fact. Hooray! Since my goals for this rotation are done, I’m going to move on to my next piece now. Next rotation, I want to get the rows below the lower alphabet complete. I’m kind of gearing to finish this by the end of 2013, but that might be pushing it. We’ll see.
Next up on my rotation is Witchy Washy – I have the trees on my to-do list. I also have to start getting my ornament for the Wentzler Facebook exchange done in the next couple weeks or so! :) Busy, busy, busy.
