I confess, I forgot it was the full moon today. You’d think with how crazy people have been driving (and you know… that whole note in my planner thing…) that I’d remember, but it completely slipped my mind today. I was on my way to settle down for the evening, saw the moon in the window, and did a “whoops! Let’s fix that!!” move to the office. Yes, I could have waited until tomorrow, but if there’s one thing I’ve learned with a toddler, it’s that I just should get stuff done when I think about it. Tomorrow could be meltdown city for all I know!
Autumn is right around the corner here in New England. A few trees are showing off red leaves, but they’re quite early for our area of the USA. Most of the trees won’t be in full color for another month or so. We’re getting a taste of autumn weather this week, though – highs in the low 70s (mid 20sC), lows in the 50s (mid teens C)… it’s gorgeous, dry weather. I truly wish we could have this all year long! With the cooler weather, I start getting into my stitching groove again. After a summer of driving my commute every day, I’m now back on my familiar train. Once I’m caught up on some letter writing, I’ll be back with needle and thread during my rides to and from Boston. I’m looking forward to good progress on my stitching again.
This month’s topic is: Who is your favourite person to stitch for, or do you prefer to keep your stitching yourself?.
I hope you’re having a good, productive month… looking forward to seeing your updates!
Important SAL Announcements…
Next month’s posting date: October 8th
Topic for next month: Are you a Halloween or Christmas stitcher?
Please remember that this stitch-a-long is intended to be fun – so if you’re too busy to post, too busy/ill/etc. to stitch – no worries. Post when you can and share what you have going, even if you’ve only been able to toss a single stitch into it. If you miss a few months, not a problem – just jump back in when you’re back with us! It’s not a race or a competition – we’re all just here to cheer each other on with our progress.
Due to different browsing software, some bloggers have found it difficult to check-in with their posts. There are three different ways to check in:
- Via Auto-link
- Via comments (make sure you include your blog address!)
- Via email – to measiwitch(at)gmail.com, only if the other two options are not working. Again- make sure you include your blog address! I’ll add it to the auto-link myself when I have a free moment.
