Can you believe it’s November? I have to admit, I’m looking at my WIP pile and realizing how little I’ve worked on it this month… mostly because I was quite busy with a round robin this year. The robin’s now completed, and our pieces all look fantastic… I posted about mine here and also have a collection of the photos as I worked everyone else’s robins over on my Flickr account here.
But now I really want to just focus on my own stuff for a while. I have a bunch of projects to work on, and honestly could go all next year without buying a thing. For the most part, I’m going to try to stick to that… although I know I’ll slip at least a couple times, thanks to the bi-annual sales.
Due to the way the moon phases fall this year, the final WIPocalypse check-in post will be online very early in December – but I won’t close the link, so if you’d rather wait and wrap up your stitching post closer to the New Year, I completely understand. 🙂 WIPocalypse check-ins will continue in 2015, and hopefully I’ll be able to fulfill those giveaway plans that were thwarted by life issues this year! I’ll get the info up for 2015 later this month… no changes in format for next year. Same full-moon check-ins. If you have topics you’d like to feature… just send them my way or add in the comments below.
One of our fellow WIPocalypse stitchers is hosting a giveaway for a cute Margaret Sherry Santa pattern this month and requested that I give it a little plug… so head over to Sharah’s blog if you’d like to enter! Best of luck!
This month’s topic is: What are your favorite and least favorite materials to use in your stitching?
My husband just came upstairs with a very sleepy toddler draped over his shoulder, so I’ll wrap this up (it’s my night to be on parent duty!). Have a lovely month, and I’ll see you in December…
Important SAL Announcements…
Next month’s posting date: December 6th
Topic for next month: Recap your accomplishments for the year! (Your finishes, your final before/after photos, etc).
Please remember that this stitch-a-long is intended to be fun – so if you’re too busy to post, too busy/ill/etc. to stitch – no worries. Post when you can and share what you have going, even if you’ve only been able to toss a single stitch into it. If you miss a few months, not a problem – just jump back in when you’re back with us! It’s not a race or a competition – we’re all just here to cheer each other on with our progress.
Due to different browsing software, some bloggers have found it difficult to check-in with their posts. There are three different ways to check in:
- Via Auto-link
- Via comments (make sure you include your blog address!)
- Via email – to measiwitch(at)gmail.com, only if the other two options are not working. Again- make sure you include your blog address! I’ll add it to the auto-link myself when I have a free moment.
