Hello and Happy Fourth, everyone!
I know I’m a couple days late again. We’ve had a crazy holiday weekend here so far, filled with parades, family, lots of food, and now some fireworks going on outside as I write. Erich is getting Max down to sleep (hopefully without much difficulty). I’m enjoying the Boston Pops Goes the Fourth concert – something I’ve listened to nearly every year since early childhood. I’m frustrated that I can’t get it on TV anymore, but thankfully the internet allows me to stream it.
Whether you are also enjoying the holiday weekend or just an everyday weekend, I hope you’re having a relaxing one… full of stitching!
As you may have noticed, the blog’s been a bit quiet again as of late. It’s due to a number of things, but thankfully not bad ones… it’s mostly just the “working full time while parenting a toddler” situation. So no worries that it’s quiet – I’ve just had to pick and choose what I can fit into every day, and sitting down to blog gets a bit tricky. But I also know that someday I’ll be able to get back to it frequently!
Question of the Month
Reality or Fantasy. Which do you prefer to stitch? Figures or Abstract? (this question comes to us via Jo)
Just as a reminder – we have a blue moon in July, so there will be another post at the end of the month. 🙂 Until then, keep stitching, and show off that progress!
Important SAL Announcements…
Next posting date: July 31
Topic for next time: What makes you pick up a long-abandoned UFO rather than beginning a new piece? (this question comes to us via Paula)
Please remember that this stitch-a-long is intended to be fun – so if you’re too busy to post, too busy/ill/etc. to stitch – no worries. Post when you can and share what you have going, even if you’ve only been able to toss a single stitch into it. If you miss a few months, not a problem – just jump back in when you’re back with us! It’s not a race or a competition – we’re all just here to cheer each other on with our progress.
Due to different browsing software, some bloggers have found it difficult to check-in with their posts. There are three different ways to check in:
- Via Auto-link
- Via comments (make sure you include your blog address!)
- Via email – to measiwitch(at)gmail.com, only if the other two options are not working. Again- make sure you include your blog address! I’ll add it to the auto-link myself when I have a free moment.
