April 2017 WIPocalypse Check in

WIPocalypse ButtonHello again everyone!

We’re in the middle of a beautiful spring weekend here in New England.  The forsythia are slowly turning green, and our lilacs have just started popping open (my favorite flower of spring).  As I type this, my husband and son are in the backyard doing a little bit of yardwork, and all of the windows are open to let the fresh air in.  It’s wonderful.

I’m getting into my busy season at work, so my stitching time has become quite limited the last few weeks.  I’m making progress, but it’s a lot slower.  That’s okay… I’m sure you’re familiar with the ebb and flow of life requirements vs. fitting in the stitching time too.

Thankfully Celebration of Needlework is next weekend, when I’ll be able to get a good chunk of stitching done while also trying to keep my credit card balance in check.  🙂  (so many pretties!)  If you’re someone who comes to the the event in Nashua, New Hampshire, please swing by and say hi.  I’ll be among a fairly large group of women stitching in the lobby Friday afternoon into Sunday morning.

I need to get to work with the boys, so will keep this short today. Once Max is down for a nap, hopefully I can get my own progress post up. Enjoy your weekend, and happy stitching!

~ Mel.

Important SAL Announcements…

Question of the Month – What projects are in your UFO pile?

Next posting date: May 28, 2017

Topic for next time: Which designer’s projects do you absolutely love, but are too intimidated to try?

*~~~~*~~~~~~*

Please remember that this stitch-a-long is intended to be fun – so if you’re too busy to post, too busy/ill/etc. to stitch – no worries. Post when you can and share what you have going, even if you’ve only been able to toss a single stitch into it. If you miss a few months, not a problem – just jump back in when you’re back with us! It’s not a race or a competition – we’re all just here to cheer each other on with our progress.

Due to different browsing software, some bloggers have found it difficult to check-in with their posts. There are three different ways to check in:

    • Via Auto-link
    • Via comments (make sure you include your blog address!)
    • Via email – to measiwitch(at)gmail.com, only if the other two options are not working. Again- make sure you include your blog address! I’ll add it to the auto-link myself when I have a free moment.
