July 2017 WIPocalypse Check-in

WIPocalypse ButtonHello everyone!

It’s a cool, cloudy Saturday morning here in Rhode Island.  Once done with this entry, I’m going to be packing up my car and heading down to my mother’s in PA for the weekend.  We’re going to be handling some of my grandpa’s affairs and just catching up.  Max and Erich are remaining here this time… it’ll just be me.

Since my access at my mom’s is always a little iffy, I’m getting this post up early.  🙂  (it’s also an excuse to let my coffee do its magic!)

My stitching in the last several weeks has been at a bit of a lull.  I will be photographing my progress and posting it on Monday when I get back, but there’s not really that much to share, sadly.  Between work and some crazy weekends, I’ve missed most of my stitching get-togethers with the New England Stitching Sisters.  That’s where I get almost all of my stitching done these days, so sadly it’s been taking a bit of a nap.  I know I’ll get back to it, though.  By autumn, the cozy weather will have me curled back up on the couch under a quilt.   Summertime for me always seems to be the lull, since the weekends are so busy with family outings and such.

(Next month’s stitching question is appearing to be VERY applicable to me, by the way).

Anyway, I’d probably best get this posted so I can go get things packed up to go.  Happy stitching everyone!

Important SAL Announcements…

Question of the Month – What are your oldest and your newest WIPs?

Next posting date: August 27, 2017

Topic for next time: How do you get yourself out of a stitching drought?

Please remember that this stitch-a-long is intended to be fun – so if you’re too busy to post, too busy/ill/etc. to stitch – no worries. Post when you can and share what you have going, even if you’ve only been able to toss a single stitch into it. If you miss a few months, not a problem – just jump back in when you’re back with us! It’s not a race or a competition – we’re all just here to cheer each other on with our progress.

Due to different browsing software, some bloggers have found it difficult to check-in with their posts. There are three different ways to check in:

    • Via Auto-link
    • Via comments (make sure you include your blog address!)
    • Via email – to measiwitch(at)gmail.com, only if the other two options are not working. Again- make sure you include your blog address! I’ll add it to the auto-link myself when I have a free moment.

If you look at the top of the blog you will see the page explaining all about the WIPocalypse SAL. It’s been running since the end of the world was predicted in 2012 and so far it hasn’t happened! Which is great as we all still have WIPs to finish.
