Hello! My name is Melissa, more commonly known as either Measi or Mel on the web. I’m a mid-thirties New Englander by way of college, although I was born and raised in the Rockies. I’m married to a fellow geek named Erich, and we’re owned by six very eccentric cats.
You’ll normally find me wandering through bits and pieces of the web (and I’ve been in quite a few places over the years, depending on my interests): World of Warcraft, cross stitching forums, LiveJournal, Doctor Who and X-Files fandom communities, Pagan sites, Flickr, Facebook, and Twitter.
In past years, I used Diary-X, Diaryland, and Blogger to write. I’ve now found myself more comfortable in WordPress on my own website, and I’m trying to develop the blog I used to write in frequently. Comments are love – please drop me a line even if it’s just to let me know you’re reading.
“Geeky Witch” came about when I was in a very devout stage of my Pagan faith. I’m not as active as I used to be – the faith structure is still there, but actual practice has been on a bit of a… walkabout… the past couple years. It’s not a bad thing. I think that I’m just meant to be focusing on more corporeal/material matters these days, rather than the spiritual.
Other things, I’ll let you learn about me via my entries. It’s probably the better (and more accurate) way to meet me.
