Challenges/Stitch-A-Longs Stitching

2025 Stitching Plans and Goals

I’m turning 50 in 2025, and I decided that as part of celebrating my half century turn around the sun, I’m going to do a Stitch What I Want, When I Want year. If I want to start something new? Cool – go for it. If I focus on a piece for a while? That’s cool too. Go for it. 🙂 It’ll be my Year of Glorious Chaos. And I am all here for it.

However, there are some challenges and goals I’m participating in for various groups. To keep everything together, I’m adding all of my challenges and such below:

My Personal Goals for 2025

  • Stitch all the things
  • Enjoy stitching all the things
  • Celebrate at least a couple stitchy finishes
  • Go nuts and start whatever the heck I want
  • Frame and enter I Love New England into the Big E fair.

Semi-Sane Stitchers Goals for 2025

  • Frogwarts Year 5 – finish
  • Jade Band Sampler – finish
  • Flying Lesson – frog and correct miscounts, then finish

Retreats

I plan on attending a few retreats this year, both virtual and in-person. If you’re going to be there, say hi! 🙂

  • April 9 – 13 – Stitching at Downton (Virtual Retreat)
  • May 17th – Tudor Rose Sampler Guild 25th Anniversary in DFW area – maybe
  • July 9 -13 – Frogwarts Year 6 (Virtual Retreat)
  • July 18 – 19 Midsummer Stitch (Virtual Retreat) – maybe
  • October 2 – 4 – Stitch New England, Warwick, RI
  • November 13-16 – Stitch Inn at the Farm, Troy, NH
  • December 5 – 7 – Jingle Ball (Virtual Retreat)

I’m also really going to try to blog more. I pay enough for this website – I really should use the thing for my own blogging. So plan on scribbles about stitching and life and letters and books. 2024 was a pretty wild year but I was hanging on for the ride. Hopefully 2025 and age 50 will bring an adventure.

To the New Year! Onward!

  1. Big plans you got, and I’m here for all of them! Hoping for lots of glorious chaos stitching (and maybe a new flostube or two?)
