January 2025 WIPocalypse Check-In

Hi everyone!

January is almost over – it’s been quite the month! I hope you were able to kick off your 2025 stitching successfully and are having fun, whether you’re meeting personal goals or just stitching to stitch. 🙂 I’m straddling both ideas at the moment and enjoying myself, even as I make a total mess of my office and craft room trying to find things.

The weather here in New England has definitely been good for productive stitching. It’s been very cold, which means I don’t want to go out much! We have a little bit of snow, but only because of one day’s snowfall of about 2-3 inches that has just lingered. It definitely has not been the nasty weather that many folks have received in the midwest and southern United States, and DEFINITELY not the horrible fires of the greater Los Angeles area. Just… cold here. Cozy time. I am looking forward to the warmer days of spring where I can have coffee on my patio with a hoop.

Upcoming One Month Challenge

To give you a bit of planning time… the first One Month Challenge will happen in March. As always, this is totally optional. Take one of your WIPs and set a goal to done a minimum of one stitch per day, every day, for the month. The idea is that you won’t be able to do just one stitch at a time (the eating potato chips theory), but if that’s all you have time for? No problem! Fall behind? Also no problem – the minimum stitches are easy to catch up. Regardless, every stitch counts – and it will get you at LEAST 31 stitches closer to your goal by participating in March. 🙂 If you can’t join us in March, not a problem – this challenge will run again in June, July, and October..

Post when you can and share what you have going, even if you’ve only been able to toss a single stitch into it. If you miss a few months, not a problem – just jump back in when you’re back with us! It’s not a race or a competition – we’re all just here to cheer each other on with our progress.
