May WIPocalypse Check-In
Hi everyone!

It’s hard to believe that another month is coming to an end, and that 2025 is approaching the half-year mark next month. It’s been quite the rollercoaster of a year!
My family is enjoying a quiet Memorial Day weekend after starting off with some volunteering at the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery to place flags at every gravesite. This was our second year participating as part of my son’s martial arts studio volunteer program, and it really started the weekend off in the right frame of mind. Memorials first, then enjoy the small things in life that those brave men and women sacrificed for us. There is always room for both on Memorial Day.
Next month kicks off the two back-to-back months of focus months here on the WIPocalypse. I’m still mentally juggling between a couple pieces for focus for June. With the Frogwarts retreat and the total chaos trying to finish an entire piece in essentially two weeks, I don’t know if I’ll participate in July. But we’ll see! What do you have planned?
I hope that you’re having a great stitching year so far… have a fantastic June and I’ll see you again next month!
Best,
Melissa

Next posting date: June 29, 2025
Topic(s) for next time: Half-year recap: How are you doing with your goals so far this year?

Please remember that this stitch-a-long is intended to be fun – so if you’re too busy to post, too busy/ill/etc. to stitch – no worries! Post when you can and share what you have going, even if you’ve only been able to toss a single stitch into it. If you miss a few months, not a problem – just jump back in when you’re back with us! It’s not a race or a competition – we’re all just here to cheer each other on with our progress.
