Small ornie finish

I felt like doing a small project this weekend after spending two weeks on Michelle’s UFO piece.  This was just what I needed!

This is ‘Tis Green by La-D-Da from the Just Cross Stitch Ornament Preview issue.  I didn’t feel like dropping the money on expensive overdyed thread, so I went stash-hunting and came up with DMC 103 to make the effect.

This was a very quick stitch – start to finish it only took about five hours.  I’ll be finishing it as a diagonal pillow ornament this weekend.  I’m planning on using it (or one like it) as my exchange piece for Stitcher’s Hideaway in a couple weeks.  I may make a couple more of these for exchanges and such – I love the design.  Perhaps a ‘Tis Red and ‘Tis Gold?
