April WIPocalypse Check-In
Hi everyone!

Spring has finally sprung here in New England – a few glorious days of beautiful weather, and all of the trees have popped open, flowers are everywhere, and the world feels so much brighter! I’ve been trying to harness this seasonal energy not only for stitching projects, but also to get some other personal projects done around the house with surprisingly good success.
I hope that you and your loved ones are doing well and finding ways to embrace the seasonal energies and are accomplishing beautiful things!
I’ve been meaning to do a lot more personal blogging here for stitching, but it’s a crazy time of year for me at work. I figure as long as I’m actually stitching, I can blog later – so be prepared for a possible flood over the summer. Recent house repair news has eliminated any chance of summer travel plans (likely for this year AND the next), so I’m thankful I have a great supply of stitching, books, journals, and my blog to keep me busy. I’ll definitely be on a bit of a no/low spend for the foreseeable future.
I hope you have a lovely May of stitching, and I’ll see you at the end of next month!
Best,
Melissa

Upcoming Events…
June and July will be our next “One Month Challenge” months. Take one of your WIPs and do a minimum of one stitch per day, every day, for that month. Join us for just June, just July, for both months – or adjust the dates within those two months to make your own challenge!
Important SAL Announcements…
Question of the Month: Let’s talk fabric – what is your go-to fabric dyer, your preferred type, count, color, etc? (question thanks to Martha D.)
Next posting date: May 25, 2025
Topic(s) for next time: How do you personally distinguish between a Work in Progress (WIP) and an Unfinished Object (UFO)?
Need all the basic info about the SAL? GO HERE for all details for 2025!

Please remember that this stitch-a-long is intended to be fun – so if you’re too busy to post, too busy/ill/etc. to stitch – no worries! Post when you can and share what you have going, even if you’ve only been able to toss a single stitch into it. If you miss a few months, not a problem – just jump back in when you’re back with us! It’s not a race or a competition – we’re all just here to cheer each other on with our progress.
Spring is here and our hives are busy, good news! Thanks for your encouragements. xxx
